Your agent can already write code. It cannot build a Mendix app.

Point a coding agent at a Mendix project and it finds an .mpr file. It can open that file - it is a database, not an opaque blob - and that is precisely the problem. Writing to it directly bypasses every validation Mendix applies, so a change that looks entirely reasonable can leave the project unable to open. Keep the agent at arm's length instead and the best it can offer is a description of the microflow you wanted, which someone still has to build by hand.

AIDE Pro removes that wall. It exposes 243 Mendix model operations to your agent over the Model Context Protocol, so the work lands in the actual model - and then gets checked by the platform's own consistency engine before anyone opens Studio Pro.

Which AI agents does this work with?

Any MCP-compatible client - Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Antigravity are the common ones, and a custom in-house agent connects the same way. AIDE Pro does not call an AI model itself, so you choose the model and keep your own credentials.

Does our code or model data leave the machine?

Not through AIDE Pro. It calls no LLM, stores no API keys, sends no telemetry, and its tool bridge binds to localhost and refuses browser requests. Your agent makes the model connection, so where that goes is governed by the agent and model you choose - including a local one.

Which Mendix version do we need?

Mendix Studio Pro 11. AIDE Pro installs per application, so each app an agent works on gets its own installation. We will confirm compatibility for your environment on the call.

Is this just an AI chat window in Studio Pro?

No. There is no chat window, no conversation history and no AI provider settings in AIDE Pro at all. It is a set of model operations your agent calls, and it verifies its work rather than describing it.

How is this different from Mendix Maia?

They address different jobs and work fine together. Maia assists you while you work by hand in Studio Pro; AIDE Pro gives an external AI coding agent programmatic access to the model so it can carry out longer, multi-step build work.

What does it cost, and how do we justify it?

Ask us, because the answer depends on your situation rather than on a price list: there is a route to a no-cost Mendix 11 licence for teams we work with, and we will tell you plainly on the call how it applies to you. On the justification: you are not buying another AI subscription, because the agent and model stay yours and there is no per-seat AI cost on top. The saving is rework rather than typing, since unbuildable logic is rejected seconds after it is written instead of at your next deployment. Bring your senior day rate and the hours a sprint loses to building CRUD and redoing rejected work, and we will do that calculation with you using your numbers rather than ours.

What happens after we talk?

Not a handover. We walk it through on a real application, help your team fit it to how they already work, and stay reachable while they get used to it. We will also tell you where the tools stop - that list is published in our documentation, not saved for after you commit. If it does not suit your situation, we will say so on the call.
