Mendix 11.12 - the June 2026 Long-Term Support release - matured the AI stack from "assist" to build-and-operate. The capabilities we build on today:

Agents Kit 2.0

Define agents at design time in Studio Pro with the new Agent Editor, wire in tools, and keep a person in the loop with built-in traces and approvals.

MCP, both directions

Expose your app's logic as Model Context Protocol tools, and consume external MCP tools from a Mendix MCP client - now with richer, more secure authentication.

Maia Plan into your backlog

Maia Plan can push generated epics and user stories straight into your Jira backlog, grouped by epic - so planning and building stay on one thread.
